# Withdrawing Tokens

Withdrawals from Bancor require a cooldown period. The initial cooldown period is 7 days, however, this can be adjusted by a Bancor DAO vote in the future.

Before initiating a withdrawal, ensure your Bancor pool tokens (bnTokens) are in your wallet. For a guide on withdrawing tokens from the rewards contract, see [Leaving the Rewards Contract](https://docs.bancor.network/guides/bancor-etherscan-guide/rewards-leaving-the-rewards-contract). 

Once your bnTokens have been returned to your wallet from the rewards contract, you can proceed with the Withdrawal flow.
